Small details that work together to enable our tables to be repaired, circulated, and remanufactured, we call them our Circularheroes.
One of them is NOTHING. Yes, you read that right - nothing.
Key factor for circular furniture flow
Disassembly and separability are key factors for a table to be part of a circular furniture flow. Different materials must be easily separated. An example where we have developed NOTHING is in the table model Arko. In the original version, the leg frame is a single unit. Legs and fittings are glued to increase the table's lifespan. But by extending the metal slightly on the inside of the leg frame, the leg can be screwed together with the fitting, resulting in three separate units consisting of pure materials. This simplifies, for example, the replacement of spare parts, future reconditioning, and remanufacturing. That is why NOTHING is one of our circular heroes. Read more about Circular Life here!
We have said it before, and we'll say it again, we are not done. Some of our pillar tables currently require a small amount of glue in the construction. That is a challenge we are continuing to work on. Because we know that NOTHING is better.
